BIPA 2.0 – A New Era


The Barbados ICT Professionals’ Association, otherwise known as (BIPA), unveiled its new visual design elements for 2018 today, across all its online platforms throughout the month of December.  This year’s executive board promised subtle yet exciting changes to the association’s branding; which represents a fresh appreciation to its online audience in order to influence and attract membership. The first part of this innovative redesign was the BIPA site wish received a major face lift of its content layout along with the addition of functional elements geared to make the experience of engaging with the association more intuitive and rewarding.   Meeting schedules, upcoming events and informative notices all can be found on our new landing page.  These details along with news stories geared to inform the audience of updates to developing technologies in Barbados can be found at a glance; where the membership provides real time updates.


In order to remain progressive; one’s perspective must change throughout their existence and BIPA is now different.

Microsoft is focusing on light, depth, motion, material, and scale for its Fluent Design, with animations that make the design feel like it’s moving during interactions in Windows.





All of the new design changes to BIPA’s logo are meant showcase the agility of the association as well as to present it’s finest self regardless of the online platform used to view its contents.  Such subtle changes meant to emphasize the power of the nation of Barbados through its ICT infrastructure and its practitioners across multiple disciplines is best summarized but the graphic shown here;






weven more changes in the next Windows 10 update, which is currently codenamed Redstone 4. Microsoft has started testing theitial features for this update, which is expected to arrive in March. The biggest addition so far is a new Cortana Collections feature, which will see and remember your browsing habits. As Microsoft progresses its testing, we’ll see more features added, alongside the return of the Timeline feature to improve resuming apps across Windows PCs and iOS or Android.


We’re expecting increased online engagement as technology in the region continues to flourish; and we understand the responsible BIPA has to the nation to keep everyone informed.  Having achieved this milestone the ability to sustain the trust in BIPA will be a more effortless process moving forward.
